A72: Downsizing, as related to seniors, is the process of reducing the amount of items in a house or apartment. Downsizing can also be done on a smaller scale to diminish the amount of items in a collection of hobby related items, such as: Coins, Comics, Department 56, Hummels, Lionel Trains , Stamps, etc.
Q73: If I live out of town, can you help my parents to downsize?
A73: AES regularly assists elderly parents to downsize and provides senior downsizing services on a regular basis for those children and/or caregivers who live out of state or close by.

A74: Never force your parent(s) to downsize. You need to convince them to downsize. Hiring AES makes downsizing a collaborative effort by working directly with senior. Downsizing requires compassion, patience and sensitivity.

A75: Downsizing can be extremely time consuming, but does not have to be if it is done well in advance. AES always tells potential clients to downsize NOW while you are healthy and/or relatively healthy and are in total control vs later when you may lose control due to ill health.
